1st Annual Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and Parkland County Family Violence Conference

International Keynote Speaker, educator, writer and co-founder of the White Ribbon Campaign, Michael Kaufman, Ph.D., will discuss the Transformation of Fatherhood: The Key to Ending Family Violence.

International Keynote Speaker, scientist, author, professor, dog musher and founder of the Alaska Family Violence Prevention Project, Dr. Linda Chamberlain, will speak on issues related to childhood exposure to violence.

Scott Hay, author of Bleeding Hearts, a true life account of domestic violence, will speak on his personal experience with family violence and the tragic results.

Jan Reimer, the Provincial Co-ordinator of Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters, will address Leading Change, how to create sustained change at the community level with content from the Alberta CFL Project.
