Danger Assessment Training
April 19, 2018 - April 20, 2018
$150.00Registration now open for DA training with Dr. Jacquelyn Campbell.
The Danger Assessment (DA) is a tool for determining an abused woman’s risk of being killed by her intimate partner. It has been tested and used around the world, including here in Alberta. The tool supports anyone working with abused women while also empowering women with knowledge and choice.
Dr. Jaquelyn Campbell of Johns Hopkins University, who developed the tool, will be in Edmonton to provide training on the DA this April 19th and 20th.
Her training will include an update on applying the DA for Immigrant women and women in same-sex relationships.
For the first time ACWS community partners, including law enforcement, medical staff, Immigrant and LGBTQ+ serving agencies can be certified in the use of the Danger Assessment.
Places for community partners are limited to 50 people so please book the training early.
Training costs $150 per person + a $60 DA Certification fee.
