YWCA Rose Campaign
December 6, 2017

The Rose Campaign commemorates Canada’s National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. On December 6, 1989, 14 women, individuals at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal, were gunned down simply because they were women.
The day now represents a time to reflect on the issue of violence against women in our society. It is also a day for communities and individuals to speak out against all forms of violence against women and its impact on victims and their families.
With your support, the YWCA Edmonton will be able to provide urgently needed help and resources to women and their families immediately. Stable and predictable funding allows us to improve our programs, increasing our ability to deliver effective community services such as subsidized counselling, violence prevention and recovery programs, and leadership development.
